Most WPS tools make you re-type every procedure into their format, or wrestle a fragile Excel template — turning a folder of existing WPSs into days or weeks of work. Elenchon WPS Manager reads your documents instead, whether they arrive as a spreadsheet or a digital PDF form.

• Excel and PDF, both native: Two purpose-built parsers — one for Excel WPS workbooks, one that reconstructs a PDF form's ruled grid and reads its cells. Process, materials, positions, ranges, pass-by-pass parameters and more land as structured fields, automatically.
• Reads bilingual forms out of the box: The built-in profile understands English and Portuguese WPS layouts as shipped, so a mixed EN/PT form imports without special setup.
• Batch import: Bring in a whole stack of existing WPSs at once, not one form at a time.
• Heat input filled where it's blank: If a form leaves the heat-input column empty, the app computes it from the arc parameters (current × voltage × 60 ÷ travel speed × process efficiency, per EN 1011-1) and flags it for you to confirm against the PQR — never a silent number.
• Tuned to your template: Standard ISO 15609-style forms work immediately; during onboarding we tune the parser to your company's exact layout, so it reads your paperwork — not a generic form you'd have to conform to.

A register is only trustworthy if you control what goes into it. So imports don't overwrite your sheet — they queue as proposed edits you review and confirm.

• See exactly what would change: The review queue lays out each proposed edit as current value → new value, down to the individual cell. Tick a cell to apply it, untick to leave it as it was.
• Correct before you commit: Fix any value inline, or add a row for a field the parser missed — then approve. What lands is what you signed off on.
• Low-confidence reads are flagged: Any cell the parser wasn't sure of — or a heat input it calculated — is shaded amber and surfaced for a check, so your attention goes exactly where it's needed and confident values don't waste your time.
• Set your own approval bar: Choose how imports land — review every value, review only the uncertain ones (the default), or auto-apply everything and lean on versioning to undo. Your register, your rules.
• Drift detection: If a WPS is edited after its values already landed, the app tells you the register is out of sync with the library and offers to re-sync — so the sheet never quietly drifts from the documents behind it.
• Only approved cells are patched: Your workbook is never rebuilt from scratch. The app writes the confirmed cells into your own file and leaves everything else exactly as you had it.

The register you keep is your workbook — not a model the app regenerates and hands back changed. Elenchon WPS Manager holds the latest copy, shows it as a readable grid, and keeps a full history behind it.

• Visualised, not just stored: Your master sheet opens as a fast, filterable grid — no more scrolling a giant spreadsheet or opening it in Excel just to look something up.
• Every version kept: Each approved change-set produces a new register version (v1 → v2 → v3…). Roll back to any earlier snapshot; the current and newest versions are always protected.
• Export on demand: Produce the updated register as a clean Excel workbook whenever you need it — plus a folder of the linked WPS files, zipped together, so the paperwork travels with the sheet.
• Retention on your terms: Decide how long old versions and the activity trail are kept, or keep them indefinitely — an admin sets the policy per deployment.

This is where the register earns its keep. Behind every row is a fully-read document you can open, verify against its source, edit in place, and connect to the records that qualify it — the small conveniences that turn a spreadsheet into a system.

• Three linked document types, one home: WPS, preliminary WPS (pWPS) and WPQR each get their own tab, each imported the same way — drop an Excel or PDF, or add a WPQR record by hand. Every document sits alongside the procedures it relates to.
• Revisions, grouped automatically: Several revisions of the same WPS number collapse into a single row with an obvious “N revisions” chip and a switcher to move between them — newest first. On import, each incoming file is classified for you as a brand-new WPS, a fresh revision, or a correction to an existing one.
• Edit and verify in place: Correct any field's value — or even its label — and save; the label re-titles that column in the register. A one-click “Verify” clears a low-confidence flag once you've checked it, and computed heat input gets its own verify so the amber clears across every pass at once.
• The real detail, not just a filename: Header fields, the full pass table with each pass's side (inside / outside / both) and role (root / fill / cap / backing), base-material parts, filler and consumable, shielding and flux — all extracted, all editable, with a row you can add if the parser ever misses one.

This is the feature that makes a parser safe to rely on. Open any WPS in Preview and the app splits the screen: on the left, every field it read; on the right, your real file — the PDF form rendered in place, or the Excel sheet drawn inline. Your eye runs down one column and across to the other, and in seconds you know the register matches the paperwork.

• The genuine source, not a re-render: A PDF opens as the real PDF, page and all, with its own zoom and fit-to-width; an Excel WPS renders as the actual sheet. You're checking against the document your welding engineer signed, not the app's interpretation of it.
• Built to live in, not glance at: Preview is a verification workspace — it stays open while you work through a document and won't vanish on a stray click outside it. Widen the source pane with a draggable divider when a form is dense, up to half the screen.
• Correct without leaving: Spot a misread? Edit the value — or its label — right inside Preview, tick a low-confidence field as verified, accept a computed heat input, and save. No bouncing between the file and a separate edit screen; compare and fix are the same view.
• Everything stays in sync: A fix in Preview updates the library detail, the register column titles, and the review badge together — one correction, reflected everywhere it should be.

It's a small thing that changes how the whole tool feels: you're never asked to trust a number you haven't seen on the page yourself.

A WPS never stands alone: it's qualified by a WPQR, which in turn traces back to a preliminary WPS (pWPS). Elenchon WPS Manager keeps that whole chain attached, so from any WPS you can see exactly which records support it — no hunting through folders.

• WPQR attached to the WPS: Open any WPS and see the Procedure Qualification Record that qualifies it, attached and displayed in a clean, readable layout.
• pWPS attached to the WPQR: Trace each WPQR back to the preliminary WPS behind it — the full document chain, pWPS to WPQR to WPS, linked and visible.
• Attach any supporting file: Keep the related documents together with the procedure they belong to, so the paperwork trail is always one click away, not scattered across drives.

Note: WPS Manager attaches, links and displays these records — capturing qualification data live on the shop floor, and deriving qualified ranges from it, is the job of the full Elenchon platform.

Heat input is where a perfectly good procedure quietly goes out of qualification. The built-in helper makes the safe window impossible to miss.

• Set the qualified range, then explore: Enter the heat-input range your PQR qualified for each weld region — root, fill, cap — then drag the current, voltage and travel-speed sliders to see the resulting heat input computed live.
• Sliders that can't leave the window: The controls clamp to your PQR-qualified range, so you physically can't dial in a combination that falls outside what the procedure allows.
• Multi-arc aware: Tandem and twin-arc setups get a lead and a trail head with their own current and voltage; the total heat input is summed across heads, the way the standard expects.
• Pull straight from a WPS: Load a parsed WPS from your library and its per-region ranges and processes fill in automatically — the arc parameters stay yours to play with. It's a scratch pad; nothing here is saved or written to any sheet.

Cheap and simple shouldn't mean careless. Every WPS Manager tenancy is engineered with the same discipline as the on-premise Elenchon platform.

• One tenant per instance: Each customer runs on their own isolated instance — your register and documents never share a database with another shop's.
• Hardened access: Login-ID and password with signed sessions, a strong password policy, automatic lockout after repeated failed attempts, and per-IP rate limiting — the standard defences, on by default.

• Reversible by design: Versioned register backups mean any approved change can be rolled back, and a deleted sheet stays recoverable through a grace window before it's gone for good.

WPS Manager already emits a clean, structured Excel workbook for any WPS you hold — and that file re-imports through the same template, so the round trip is lossless. Full in-cloud authoring builds on that foundation.

• Authoring, kept simple: We deliberately keep this focused on writing the document itself. Deriving qualified ranges from test data is metallurgy we leave to the full Elenchon qualification workflow — WPS Manager manages the paperwork, it doesn't do the qualification.
